Rules of Odenia Online

Odenia Online is a multiplayer game where players compete and cooperate with others from around the world. To ensure fair gameplay, players must follow the game rules at all times, which are an integral part of the terms of use.

The administration team enforces these rules and may issue consequences for violations, ranging from criminal notations for minor offenses to temporary or permanent account suspensions for more serious infractions. In some cases, the administration may also take additional measures to address any unfair situations caused by rule violations.

1. Names

a) Offensive name

Players must not choose names that are offensive, insulting, harassing, defamatory, sexually-related, or violate the law or Odenia Online.

b) Invalid name format

Players should avoid creating names that are nonsensical, poorly formatted, or contain part of a sentence.

c) Name not describing person

In Odenia Online, players are expected to create names that fit the fantasy world of knights and magic. Names after third-party brands or celebrities, political or religious views, or objectionable names are not allowed.

d) Name inciting rule violation

Players must not create names that encourage, imply or brag about rule violation.

e) Name to fake official position

It is forbidden to create names that might indicate being part of the Administration or server system.
These rules apply to character names, guild names, guild ranks, guild titles, and any other services that require or allow the submission of a name.

Violating this rule may result in a notation, a 7-day, 30-day, or permanent banishment, depending on the seriousness of the violation and the player's criminal record. Unsuitable character names may also result in a character being blocked until a name change is made, with the new name needing approval from a gamemaster before the character is unlocked.

2. Statements

a) Offensive statements

Odenia Online is a game where players engage in various relationships, including those with villains, but players are expected to express themselves in a civilized manner. Offensive, harassing, defamatory, sexually-related, or law-violating statements are not allowed.

b) Spamming

Repeatedly submitting the same statement, especially nonsensical ones, is considered spam and is not allowed.

c) Real money advertisements and advertisements not related to the game

Public statements advertising third parties or topics unrelated to the game, as well as trades or exchanges of accounts, virtual items, or real money, are strictly prohibited.

d) Non-English and off-topic public statements

In-game channels and forum boards, such as Trade, Game-Chat, and Help, are restricted to English language only. Players should also use the appropriate channels and forums for their intended purposes.

e) Inciting rule violation

Players must not encourage, imply or brag about rule violation, or intentionally mislead others about the rules.

Players should express themselves clearly and avoid using jokes or ironic tones that may be misunderstood. Violations of the Statements Rule may result in consequences, including a notation, 3-day, 7-day, 14-day, 30-day, or permanent banishment, depending on the severity of the violation and the player's criminal record.

3. Cheating

a) Bug abuse

Players are required to report any bugs or errors encountered in Odenia Online or any other services. Exploiting errors to gain an advantage over other players is strictly prohibited.

b) Game weakness abuse

Players must not exploit features that are not necessarily due to software bugs but are clearly not intended to be abused, such as blocking access to certain areas in a way that other players have no technical means to overcome.

c) Macro use

Players must not use any kind of automation while playing Odenia Online. All in-game actions must be performed manually by the player.

d) Using unofficial software to play

Players must only use the official software in its currently supported version to play the game. Using any other software to connect to the game server or using additional tools to execute in-game actions is strictly prohibited.

e) Hacking

Attempting to steal other players' account data or personal information, or using malicious software to gain access to any Odenia Online services, is strictly prohibited.

f) Multi-clienting

In Odenia Online, players are normally strictly limited to having two characters online at the same time.

However due to the low population on Loka, this limit has been lifted.
Use your own judgement for how many clients you wish to run.

Violating subrule a), b) or f) of the Cheating Rules may result in a notation, a 7-day banishment, a 30-day banishment with or without a final warning, or permanent banishment, depending on the severity of the violation and the player's criminal record. Violating subrule c), d), or e) of the Cheating Rule will always result in the permanent banishment of all the accounts used by the offender.

4. Gamemasters

a) Threatening Gamemasters

Players must not make any threats, either directly or indirectly, towards Odenia Online staff members. Attempts to exert pressure through blackmail are also not allowed.

b) Pretending to have an official position or influence over Gamemasters

Players must not impersonate Odenia Online staff members or claim to have influence over their decisions in any way.

c) False reports to Gamemasters

Players must not purposely submit untrue reports to Odenia Online staff members to mislead them or other players. However, if players report suspicious activity that turns out to be unfounded, they will not be violating this subrule. False reports are only considered violations when they are made intentionally to harm other players or staff members, especially if they include fabricated evidence.

Violations of the Gamemasters Rule may result in a notation, a 7-day, 30-day, or permanent banishment, depending on the severity of the violation and the player's criminal record.

Excessive unjustified player killing

Killing a player character without justification occurs when the victim was not marked with a skull and the killer dealt the most damage or the final hit. The Odenia Online system automatically enforces this rule. If a player kills nine or more unmarked characters within 24 hours, 15 or more unmarked characters within seven days, or 30 or more unmarked characters within 30 days, the account will be automatically banned for seven days. These limits apply to the account as a whole.

House Auction Spoiling

In Odenia Online, bidding high in a house auction with the sole intention of raising the price for other players, especially by submitting unrealistic bids that other players cannot overbid, is not allowed.

Violating this rule may result in a notation, a 7-day, 30-day, or permanent banishment, depending on the severity of the violation and the player's criminal record.

Destructive Behavior

In Odenia Online, any inappropriate behavior not specifically mentioned in the rules that is intended to harm the game or its administration, or violates the law, is not allowed. We reserve the right to take action against such behavior.

In certain situations, a gamemaster may request that a player take or refrain from a certain in-game action. For example, a gamemaster may ask the player to leave their current in-game location. Players are required to comply with these requests and should not question them. Violating this rule may result in a notation, a 7-day, 30-day, or permanent banishment, depending on the severity of the violation and the player's criminal record. However, gamemaster requests should not infringe on a player's legal rights.
